Lisa Sturrock - CoreKids Project Manager (Psychotherapist and Play Coach)
Lisa has been working in the addictions field since 1996.  Prior to coming to Core in May 2008, this includes: six years as a practitioner in a range of community-based and residential settings, with young people, adults and families; and six years as a manager/commissioner within London Drug Action Teams.  She has a Masters in Existential Psychotherapy and Counseling, a Diploma in Addiction Studies and a Certificate in Play Coaching.  She believes passionately in this work, particularly in helping people to reach their true potential, supporting vulnerable adults to overcome difficulties and the importance of taking a family-focused approach to treatment and care. 



Julia Foskett - Family Therapist
Julia has practised as a Family Therapist working with children and families for 15 years.  She is interested in promoting resilience in families, who experience mental health/addiction issues and strengthening family relations.  Julia also has additional training as a Play Therapist and Family Therapy supervisor.



Myrtle Kirton - Parenting Support Worker
Myrtle is a Social Worker with 30 years of experience of working with children and families.  She is particularly interested in building upon the strengths of diverse family groups and supporting parents to recognise and develop their parenting skills.



Isabel Sweetman - Project Support Worker
Isabel studied a degree in Psychology and since graduating she has been providing project support for CoreKids.  Isabel originally started at CoreKids as a volunteer but in January 2010 she was awarded a place on the Vodafone World of Difference UK scheme.  Isabel offers 1-2-1 practical support for parents at CoreKids Marylebone, as well as providing administrative support for the rest of the CoreKids team.

HertSpeak


Simone Taylor - HertSpeak Senior Practitioner
Simone studied a degree in Health Studies and has over eight years experience of working with children, young people and adults, on an individual basis and in groups offering a range of support and interventions.  She has worked in settings such as schools, youth justice, and the community.  She is currently training to become a therapeutic play practitioner.  Simone wanted be involved in work that would engage the family unit to make changes for a more positive future, and HertSpeak has given her this opportunity!



David Humphreys - Family Therapist
David has worked  for over 20 years as a family therapist and psychologist.  He ran a family therapy clinic and taught at Middlesex University.  He works with families with drug and alcohol issues, collaborating with them to try to  find ways to resolve their difficulties, whilst supporting them in protecting their children.



Angela Lawton - Play Therapist
Initially Angela trained as a nursery nurse where her interest and expertise was always with vulnerable children who have had difficult experiences in their lives. As a mature student, she gained a degree in Early Childhood Studies and then a post-graduate diploma in Non Directive Play Therapy at York.

CoreKids Wandsworth and Hertfordshire 


Ann McKay - Parenting Support Worker
Ann is a Parenting Support Worker based in Wandsworth and Stevenage delivering parenting groups and one-to-one work.  She has worked with teenagers and their families within Herts County Council for the Youth Service, Social Care and Youth Justice.  Ann qualified at Goldsmiths with an MA in Youth and Community Work.
